While Lois & Clark was on the air (1993-1997), there were several fan clubs devoted to the show. FOLC Central was one of many fan clubs to debut after the show ended. The first newsletter came out in January 1998. Initially the club had only two writers. Over the next four years, new writers (Rachel M., Karen V., Jessi M., Maggie S., Cristin W., Jenn M., and many more) joined the force, and nearly 200 newsletters were produced.

Along the way, FOLC Central sponsored contests of all kinds, fan awards, a mini fanfic archive, and a "Super Store" full of goodies that club members could earn by collecting "Superdollars" for winning various things. There were polls, Dean & Teri movie reviews, fanfic recommendations, FOLC of the Month profiles, and articles galore.

FC was a lot of fun, but it was also a lot of work. When I decided to stop newsletter production, I was in the midst of college -- very tired and very busy. I felt I had said everything I could say about L&C at the time, and it was hard to come up with new material for each newlsetter.

Though I've personally shifted my energy to other projects, Lois & Clark remains my favorite TV show of all time. I still watch it and occasionally write about it (check out the "blog" link on the main FC page.) I welcome your comments and questions about the show.
