Why L&C ROCKS
(And always will)

Sunday nights at 8pm. That was *the* time. I would get home early, sit in front of the TV...and just wait. Wait for the coolest show in the whole world to come to my little, unknown, 25 inch TV. Wow, what a concept. Anyway, it's been a year since the show, um, ended. But there are SO many FOLCs out there! You might not even know it.

Throughout the years, these FOLCs have given us the Metropolis Club, Virtual Metropolis, the Krypton Club, Cyber Metropolis, the Lois and Clark Anonymous Support Group, LC Weekly, The Dean Cain Fan Club, the Kal-El Club, Forever FOLCs, FOLC Planet, the Fabulous FOLC Family, and more. They have given us the fanfic archive, the fanfic mailing list, hundreds of L&C web pages, sounds, pictures, and their own fanfics. They have contributed to the message boards on America Online and Compuserve (and others). They have attended and hosted chats. They have spent hours on the IRC or reading Listserv messages. They have sent letters to the L&C cast and crew. They have made tapes of episodes for fellow FOLCs. They have organized and attended FOLCfests and had their own FOLC parties. They have driven miles out of their way to go to a Warner Bros. store, to a convention, or to the Warner Bros. Studios in California. Maybe they never made it to the WB Studios. Maybe they just spent hours on the hill at Universal Studios, feeding quarters into the binoculars, just so they could stare at that gorgeous poster of Lois and Clark. Some of them have been lucky enough to meet one or more of the cast members. Some have autographs, some have posters, some have 8x10 pictures. Some have L&C shrines in their bedrooms. They have L&C wallpaper and sounds on their computers. They can spend hours watching Lois and Clark, despite the outcries of their family members who want to watch something less cool. They read the L&C novels for book reports. They wear L&C T-shirts, dress in the Superman colors, wear Superman jewelry, tattoo themselves with L&C tattoos, plaster Superman stickers on their belongings, carve L&C's initials into the tree in the backyard (and get in trouble later). They spend so much time watching L&C that they've begun to memorize episodes. They can quote scenes at a time. They excel in L&C trivia. They record episodes onto cassette tapes so they can listen to the episodes on their Walkmans. They collect every Dean and Teri article and keep them in scrapbooks that are so full, they have to buy more scrapbooks. They keep their L&C trading cards in protective plastic covers. They know the episode titles, they know the acronyms, they know the acronyms for all the cast member's names. They collect TV Guides that have any mention of L&C. They make their own episode guides. They write their favorite quotes down. They dress as characters from L&C for Halloween. In art class, they paint pictures of L&C. Whenever they're watching a show that isn't L&C, they look for actors who were guest-stars on L&C. They obsess, suffer from Lois and Clark Withdrawal Symptoms, frantically search the Internet for any and all mentions of L&C. They give their friends Superman Valentines.

They are FOLCs. WE...are...FOLCs.

And that is why L&C rocks and always will. It has the power to keep us hooked. It's a cute, funny, romantic, thought-provoking, dramatic, WHAMmy, WAFFy, hilarious, wonderful, sweet, daring, scary, shocking, surprising, LOL-ing, ROTFL-ing, obsess-worthy SUPER show. And it always will be.

And I, for one, will always be a FOLC.

The First Official AOL LCA/FC L&C Chat Party!
by Molly (aka LoveLC@aol.com)

If you didn't make it to the chat on Sunday, you missed a great party. :) It started at 2pm PT and ended around 4pm PT. It was kind of a last minute thing for AOL FOLCs (sorry Internet FOLCs, we *are* trying to get an Internet chatroom so we all can chat). :) Here's what happened...

20 PEOPLE CAME! I was not expecting this many, especially for a chat that was all organized at the last minute like it was. But I should have known better--you FOLCs are great people! Thanks to everyone who came! :)

WHAT WE DID...we chatted, did trivia! Loisiana came in first place with 115 points! Everyone else did great...a *big* shout-out to Phpowner, Liz5080, CA Susan, Suzy Zoo, Smrtmouth2, CainsFan, Erin FOLC and LNCTNAOS who also did *great* at trivia :)

WE HOPE that everyone had a super time, and are planning to do this again in the future!

If you would like a LOG of the chat, please e-mail me at lovelc@aol.com. You must be able to receive attatched files. If you were at the chat, and don't want something you said to appear in the final log, please e-mail me ASAP...otherwise, the chat log will be sent out exactly as it happened. :)

Thanks!
