Important Updates

*Both of the web sites are under construction this week. You can still visit them (Visit! Visit! Oh yeah, and please sign the guest book:) We're adding stuff, moving stuff around, and updating stuff...and the goal date for completion is JULY 31 (Dean's birthday!) We'll have the fanfics that won the contest posted, plus more fanfics. On the SuperSite, there will be a new format, but we hope this will make it easier to get around. Also, Jenn (Jenna1129@aol.com) made something really fun, and that will be on the SuperSite. PLEASE send in your photos. You can send them to Jenn or to Molly (LoveLC@aol.com). The SuperSite's all-new "member" page is going to have member photos, member profiles, favorite episodes/quotes, and links to members' homepages.

FOLC Central's address is: http://members.aol.com/lovelc/folc.html

The SuperSite's address is: http://members.aol.com/lovelc/lcafc.html

*SuperSite TRIVIA began on Monday, July 20, and if you haven't signed up, it's almost too late! For complete rules, visit the site at http://members.aol.com/lovelc/trivia2.html

27 people have signed up so far, but honestly--it's almost too late so HURRY. E-mail supertrivia@hotmail.com to sign up! There have been some problems with e-mailing the trivia questions. If you signed up before Wednesday and STILL haven't gotten the questions, e-mail supertrivia@hotmail.com or LoveLC@aol.com right away. A note to folcfr@juno.com: we were not able to get e-mail through to you for some reason. Please e-mail me! Thanks!

So far everyone has done really well and nearly everyone has gotten all the answers correct. Scores and answers will be posted on the web site after the next round's questions are sent out on Thursday. Good luck, everyone!

What's On? The latest & coolest in TV and movie news
By Molly (LoveLC@aol.com)

Hi FOLCs! Has summer boredom kicked in? Well, when (if?) you're not watching Lois & Clark 24 hours a day, you might actually come across a small patch of boredom and get sucked in to it. If this happens, don't read a good book. Don't go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Watch more TV, and not just L&C even though that's the best thing on! :) Movies are OK, too. Here are my choice picks for this week and the weeks to come.

*Harve Presnell (aka Sam Lane) is in the upcoming movie "Saving Private Ryan". He also plays Mr. Parker on "The Pretender", which is currently in re-runs on Wednesday nights on NBC at 8pm.

*Buffy The Vampire Slayer
I will forever be grateful to Sarah (EBear65@aol.com) for introducing me to it, and to Lara, the 7-12 deejay at Z-100 radio in Portland, OR, for convincing me to watch this show, and from whom I won 2 Titanic CDs. I think Buffy is the only show I know of that can combine scariness and humor and make the two totally work.

Buffy Airs: Mondays at 9pm and Tuesdays at 8pm on the WB

*Dawson's Creek
I think there is some sort of TV show phenomenon that occurs, at least with me. It's the show's that I DON'T want to watch (at first) that end up being my most ultimate favorite TV shows later on. Like Lois & Clark. I thought "ohhh...it's just another Superman show. Probably not original. Don't want to watch it." But I did watch it, liked it, loved it, got incredibly obsessed and to this day I can't imagine what my life would be like without it. With Dawson's Creek, I didn't really want to watch it, either. I thought "ohhh...it's just another teen angst show about good-looking American teens who care only about sex, looks, and each other". But I watched it, loved it, and now adore the show with a scary passion. So, uh...never judge a show before you watch it, that's your lesson for today.

Dawson's Creek Airs: Tuesdays at 9pm on WB; Wednesdays at 8pm in the Fall.

*"Titanic", the supercool movie that won 11 Oscars and 4 Golden Globe Awards, and which also co-stars David Warner (Jor-El in "The Foundling"; he was Cal's "undertaker of a manservant" in Titanic) and Mark Lindsay Chapman (Jen-Mai in "Lord of the Flys" and "Battleground Earth" and also the guy from "The Langoliers"<--good movie) is coming to video September 1st! (This is the part where you cheer and clap!) LOL, until next time...WATCH TV, WATCH TV, WATCH TV. Thank you! :)

What Else?

Well, that's all for this newsletter :( But hey, guess what? The next FC newsletter is coming to you on August 1! New columns, old columns, random thoughts, a new questionette, FOLC parties, Life Off-Line, a victim profile--and who knows what else? If you would like to contribute, send your stuff to LoveLC@aol.com!

Super thanks to Rachel, Tracy, Erin, Jenn, Tiff, Devon, Katy S., Eric, Karen L. (for the endless searches for yellow tent stakes), Jason, Sarah (for the endless hours of Family Fued) Jeanette (for Mall Madness and the M&M fight--there is a sale...at the shoe store!), & GG (for letting me swim in her pool).

Also, to Danielle,Tasha, and Whittannie--for being the youngest FOLCs I know! And to your soon-to-be baby brother, here's hoping he's a future FOLC too, and that your parents name him Jack Dawson Irwin.
(LOL I'm gonna get killed for saying that one! But I had to.)
