Happy Birthday, Lois & Clark!!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lois & Clark premiered on September 12, 1993. A lot has happened in the five years since then, but one fact remains true: L&C still is #1! This is a tribute to Lois & Clark. I hope you enjoy it!

*************************************************************************
Lois & Clark
a little history lesson :)

1992: The "Death of Superman" in the comics sparks a new level of Superman popularity.

Late 1992/Early 1993: Hey, would't it be cool to have a Superman TV show? some asks.

Early 1993: The idea for "Lois & Clark", a new twist to the Superman story, is pitched. Created by Deborah Joy Levine, the show is picked up for ABC's fall season. Dean Cain has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman, and Teri Hatcher has been cast as Lois Lane.

Summer, 1993: Promos for "Lois & Clark" begin popping up on TV. Commercials and posters ask "Have you been to Metropolis lately?" The commercials promote the romantic chemistry between Lois and Clark. This is not your typical Superman comicbook story! As one ad says, "It's not just for kids anymore!" Time Warp: Other shows premiering that fall included "The X-Files", "Boy Meets World", "Grace Under Fire", "Thea", "Phenom", Living Single", "The Nanny", "Dave's World", and "NYPD Blue".

September 12, 1993: The show premiers to great reviews from the critics. The show has been called "a real winner", "endearing", "hip", and "entertaining". Before the show begins, a voice-over announces "...'Super Sunday' is here! When a small-town guy...meets a big-city girl...what happens is out of this world!"

Lois & Clark's first season started with Clark Kent coming to Metropolis and landing a job at the Daily Planet, where he met Lois Lane, Perry White, Cat Grant, and Jimmy Olsen. He *especially* liked that Lois Lane: "complicated...domineering, uncompromising, pig-headed...brilliant." Of course, Lois had been Top Banana at the Daily Planet (the greatest newspaper in the whole world!) for several years, the last thing she needed (or so she thought) was being partnered with some hack from Smallville. With a nose for trouble (as Perry White says), Lois...well, got into it. And who was there to get her out of trouble?

Clark Kent was sent to Earth as a baby from Krypton, to Kansas, and was raised by Martha and Jonathan Kent. Now in his late twenties, he had superpowers that he had chosen to keep a secret: invulnerability, the ability to fly, heat vision, super strengh, and the list went on. When in Smallville, Kansas, it was pretty easy keeping the powers a secret, but in Metropolis there were always people around, and Clark was afraid that his powers might be discovered. So, with the help of his mom, Clark came up with the idea--and the Superman costume. A secret identity that, well, actually worked. Brilliant!

When Clark first appeared in public as Superman, using his powers, the public (and especially Lois Lane!) was stunned, awed, thrilled, and excited by this guy in blue tights. There was a major media frenzy, merchandise, you name it. But Lois Lane, who claimed to have seen Superman first, had decided that Superman was "hers". Little did she know, Clark/Superman would gladly have said "OK" to that in a heartbeat! One problem--Lois was mesmerized by Superman, and then would turn around and ignore or put down Clark. Clark accepted this, although he didn't like it.

Of course, not everyone loved Superman. There was Jason Trask, a government agent who was convinced Superman was just the first of an invading alien force that was going to take over Earth. It was while Lois and Clark were investigating Trask that Clark found a globe that came in the spaceship he was sent to Earth in--and found out he was from the planet Krypton. Kagillionaire Lex Luthor also did not exactly welcome Superman with open arms.

A lot happened in the show's first season. Lois and Clark became friends, Kryptonite was discovered, and Jimmy wrote his first story. Lois (thanks to a pheromone perfume) fell in love with Clark for a few days, Clark got amnesia, Perry told Elvis stories, and we met Lois's parents. Superman was cloned, hypnotized, and accused of causing a Metropolis heatwave. Late in the season, Clark finally realized (well, actually admitted) that he was in love with Lois (his parents had known it all along--that's just parents for you, isn't it?). Then, Lex Luthor got ahold of Kryptonite, destroyed the Daily Planet, and proposed to Lois. Lois accepted, and Clark was...well, let's just say he was upset (although that really doesn't begin to describe it).

Luckily, Lois came to her senses, realizing that maybe she and Clark were more than friends--and she didn't say "I do" to Lex. Then Lex jumped off a building, and we thought that was the end of him. Things were finally starting to get back to normal!

Summer, 1994: Can you say "revamp"? Producers and writers were changed around, Cat Grant was gone, and Justin Whalin replaced Michael Landes as Jimmy Olsen. Most FOLCs were just grateful the show had been renewed, so we didn't mind the changes too much. Time Warp: Other shows premiering that fall included: "ER", "Party of Five", "Chicago Hope", "Friends", "On Our Own", and "My So-Called Life".

Septmber, 1994: To sum up the second season in ten words: "Campy villains Lois and Clark fall in love kiss yay". The season started out with some very interesting villains: Arianna Carlin, Lenny Stoke, The Prankster, Bill Church, Bonnie & Clyde, and Gretchen Kelley. Clark won a Kerth award, "died", and saved Lois numerous times. Lois got in trouble, babbled a lot, and almost admitted that she wondered what it would like if she and Clark might be...you know, more than friends.

For the first time, there was an actual Christmas episode--"Season's Greedings"--written by none other than Dean Cain! At the end of this episode, Lois and Clark were seen gazing out of Lois's window as snow gently fell...Lois leaning her head on Clark's shoulder.

Lois's relationship with Superman was also explored. Clark wanted desperately for Lois to see him as *Clark*, not just the Superhero in red and blue. And Lois was starting to. In "The Phoenix", Clark got up the nerve to ask Lois out. Three episodes later, they went on their first "real date"! But things weren't perfect...Clark always seemed to run off during important conversations and moments (he would hear cries for help and have to go save people). Clark was also struggling with trying to decide whether he should tell Lois he was Supeman. Lois thought Clark was afraid of commitment.

During the second season, the writers threw in some romantic interests for Lois and Clark. For Clark, there was deputy district attourney Mayson Drake. For Lois, there was Hawaiian-shirted DEA Agent Dan "Please, call me Daniel" Scardino. Luckily, Lois and Clark realized that *they* belonged together, and realized that they loved each other. Lois even risked her life to save Clark's parents in the second season finale. The season ended with Clark down on his knees, proposing to Lois. The only problem? He *still* hadn't told Lois he was Superman!

Summer, 1995: Ah, the torture of summer re-runs! Four months of *waiting*--would Lois say yes or no to Clark's proposal? But...Lois and Clark had been renewed for a third season! During the summer, Dean Cain's TV special aired--he had written, directed, starred in, and even produced "Off Camera with Dean Cain". Time Warp: Other shows premiering that fall included: "Caroline In The City", "The Drew Carey Show", "The Naked Truth", "The Jeff Foxworthy Show", "The Crew", "Hudson Street", "The Pursuit of Happines", and "Murder One".

September, 1995: "Who's Asking, Clark or Superman?" Whoa. Way to go, Lois! Yep, she'd figured it out. Like the second season, the third season had it's share of villains. But this season explored more into Lois and Clark's relationship: their love, their devotion, and their eternal "bond". Several episodes dealt with Clark worrying about Lois being in danger because of him.

Lois still hadn't said "yes" to Clark's proposal--it was still a "maybe". Lois knew she loved Clark, but she wasn't sure if she was ready for marriage yet. They still had issues to deal with--trust, being partners in *everything*--and then there was dealing with everything *else*--Kryptonite, Lois getting Superpowers, and a madman intent on flooding the world.

Finally, they got engaged and started planning their wedding. But the wedding--which was supposed to have occured in February--didn't exactly go off as planned. Lex Luthor (who had managed to come back from the dead during the second season) escaped from prison, and replaced Lois with a clone just before the wedding. He kidnapped the real Lois, she escaped and hit her head, and started thinking she was the heroine of her secret novel: Wanda Detroit. Then she ditched Clark, went off with Lex, and almost killed Clark. Oh, *then* she got amnesia, was brainwashed into being a killer, and then fell in love with her evil psychiatrist, Dr. Deter.

Hey, but things always work out, don't they? Lois got her memory back, and she and Clark finally were together again. Only to have Kryptonians arrive and tell Clark that he just *had* to go back with them, to New Krypton, to stop a war of some sort. With tearful good-byes ("I have loved you from the beginning"--Clark "And I'll love you 'til the end"--Lois), Clark left for New Krypton.

Summer, 1996: One of the biggest mysteries was this: what exactly *were* Lois and Clark *doing* behind those curtains in the season finale? Time Warp: Other shows premiering that fall included: "7th Heaven", "Suddenly Susan", "The Pretender", "Early Edition", "Clueless", "Superman" (the animated series), "Pearl", "Ink", and "Spin City".

September, 1996: Clark returned to Earth, but...so did a bunch of New Kryptonians who thought it might be fun to take over Earth. And Lois and Clark got married! Finally! And what happens after a wedding? A honeymoon, of course! The honeymoon bliss didn't last long, though. Not long after Lois and Clark moved in to their new brownstone, Lois was accused of murder. But don't worry, it turned out OK.

One of the best things about the fourth season was that Lois and Clark continued to stick together, through it all. Through magnetic maniacs and ghosts, through computer geniuses and Red Kryptonite and Mr. Myxzptlk. They got through everything, and still had plenty of time for some steamy romance! Kissing...more than kissing...you name it! This was probably the most romantic season in that it was...just...special. It's hard to describe. There's "I've Got You Under My Skin", where Lois looks into Clark's eyes--and even though he has the physical body of someone else, Lois is abled to look into his soul and know that it really is Clark. There's awesome nonverbal communication going on, and their love deepens, and Lois and Clark come to a point where they know they can totally trust one another, no matter what.

The fourth season finale ended with Lois and Clark wanting to have children, but discovering they might not be able to. In the very last scene, they discover a baby...wrapped in Superman's blanket...and they have no idea where it came from.

Through all four seasons, there were surprises, twists, turns, kisses, laughs, smiles, frenzies, uncertainties, compromises, friendships, bonds, tears, conversations, committments, issues, trusts, good times and bad times. But most of all? There were good times. :)

Fans Of Lois & Clark

The best shows have the best fans. And the FOLCs (Fans Of Lois & Clark) are definitely super! And not just because they have great taste! :) Scattered throughout this newsletter are FOLC Stories and mini-interviews. Every FOLC has their own favorite episodes, quotes, and story about how they became a fan of Lois & Clark. We were able to print just a few of them, but you're sure to get an idea of just how much Lois & Clark means to its fans.

My FOLC Story
by Molly (LoveLC@aol.com)

When I was three years old, I used to watch Superfriends on TV. I had these Cinderella paper dolls and I would fly Prince Charming around and pretend he was Superman (Cinderella got to be Wonder Woman). I never was a huge Superman fan. In fact, before I got obsessed with Lois & Clark, I thought Superman came from the Planet Crouton.
My family always watched TV on Sunday nights, so when Lois & Clark premiered, we naturally decided to watch it. I didn't really want to watch it at first, but I did anyway, and really enjoyed it! I started taping episodes towards the end of the first season, and right before the second season started, I had declared L&C my favorite show. Three months later, I realized I was obsessed.
I've never liked *anything* as much as I love L&C. It was weird. I felt I had finally found something that was mine, that could make me ultimately happy. Around the end of the second season, I had started to think I was the only fan of Lois & Clark in the whole world. Then I came online and got involved with Lois & Clark chat rooms and message boards, and boy, was I suprised! There were actually people as crazy about the show as I was! It was really cool.

My FOLC Story
by Maggie (Maggie13@bellsouth.net)

I first watched L&C the first time it was aired, starting with the Pilot.

My mom and me would always watch it together and have fun with their
adventures. I love the show because it is a modern version of a timeless
story. There really is a lot to love here as we all know. The
actors...the romance... the funny moments...the sweet ones...funny bad
guys...Clark's lame excuses and
those ties...Lois's fashion sense, or lack thereof at times...the Kents...Dr. Klein...Bobby Bigmouth....the snappy dialogue...and of
course,Tempus and Mr. Luthor, who I love to hate ;-). Hmm, my FoLC status todayis I love the show more now than when it was on the air. Strange but
true.
When it was airing I loved it, quietly. Now I have met all these cool
people called FoLCs that have taken my love for the show, reflected it
back
at me and made it bigger.

My favourite quote is from Lucky Leon when Lois has bought a rather
revealing albeit burgandy dress, holds it up against her while looking
at it in the mirror and promptly wrinkles up her nose and says "Did I buy
this?" Actually, it's more like a moment than a quote,
but I still love it!

Other beloved quotes include "Mmmmm..believe me I'd love to," when Clark
tells Lois to "get a grip" in Pheremone my Lovely and "The only thing I'd
like more would be......." --Lois "More......?" --Clark in Brutal youth!

Michell944@aol.com

Here are a couple of Totally Tempus Moments:

"Oh, please!! I'll throw myself in jail and strap myself in the electric
chair, just don't make me listen to this!!" Tempus

"Excuse me...I'm in danger of choking on my own vomit!!" Tempus

Hmmm, all very good selections I must say! There is only one submssion
missing and guess who it belongs too? Who do you think sent in the
lengthiest selection of Quote Classics? Which one of us spent a
joyous hour sorting through all her favorites and even then,
could only narrow it down to 6 kilobytes worth of Quote material?
Well, folcs, there is a reason I write a column about the stuff!!! :)
So, without further adieu, here are my picks for Lois & Clark Quote
Classics:

You are so weird. Works for ya, though. ~ Lois

Lois ~ There's no such thing as an invisible man....Clark ~ Yes there is,
Lois, Yes there is.

I fell in love with you for you, or,to put it another way, I bought the
whole house, not just the kitchen, and you have some
rooms that rate five stars. ~Clark

Clark ~ I've had girlfriends. I've dated, But that thing, the intimacy
threshold, I've never really crossed it. Lois ~ Oh my God!

~ ~Mrs. Lex Luthor. Lois Lane Luthor. Lois Luthor Lane. Lois Lane.. Kent.
Lois Lane.... ~~

Oh, I had a muscle... a mishap... I had a mishap ~Lois :)

Lois, I want you to go out with me! What? You're asking me out? Yeah, you
know, like on a date. A date? You mean like a real date? Where I take out
my good perfume, the one that I got after I saw "Love Affair," the good one
not the remake, and I put a dab behind my knee, I don't even know why?

Clark ~Hi. Lois~ Hi. Oh, God, this is exactly why we shouldn't go out.
Clark~ All I said was Hi.
Lois ~Yes, I know, and a dozen thoughts went through my mind. You know,
how's my makeup? Do I smell good? Do I have coffee breath? See, and all
that was
just with you saying hi. What's gonna happen you start saying words with
more than one syllable?
Clark ~What did they put in your coffee this morning!

I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret. ~Lois
Well, just to put your mind at ease, Lois, you're right. ~Clark

Poor woman. ~Lois Who? ~Clark
Your wife. She's married to Mr. Right. Mr. Always Right. ~Lois

How do I look? ~ Lois
Appropriately cheap. ~Clark
Just let me do most of the talking. ~Lois
You usually do. ~Clark

Lois, Superman is what I can do. Clark is who I am.....Glasses, secret
identity, seemed like a good idea at the time.

~Lois & H.G. Wells~
What's the matter, my dear? Oh, you've been to the future, Mr. Wells. Is
it true what Tempus said about me? Oh, yes. You're as highly revered as any
woman in history. Oh, no, I meant about being galactically stupid. No, no,
no, Miss Lane, not stupid, blind. It is one of the many things that makes
your story so timeless. Why children never tire of hearing it at bedtime.
Why parents never outgrow it. Generation after generation, we are all
blinded by love, Miss Lane. Especially that one great love that changes us
forever.

If the Earth opened up at my feet, I wouldn't move until I'd said this:
Lois, will you marry me?

So how mad are you? ~Clark
I'm not mad. I'm hurt. ~Lois
And that's goning to be worse
than being mad, isn't it? ~Clark

~Lois & Clark in OP~

You have been 'scooping and flying' on a fairly regular basis ever since
I've known you, but now that we're surrounded by man-eating plants and
murderous insects *now* you think would be a bad time.

I don't know...how...I feel about you. There is no one way. I feel (sigh)
so many things. And all at once. Happy. I'm kind of scared, too. Excited.
Calm. Lost. Found. I feel safe in a way that I've never known before, but
in danger, too. This thing between us, whatever it is, it's stronger than
me. Being with you, is stronger than being alone. That's new to me.

~Clark & Martha~
So, what are you saying? I should crawl back on my hands and knees? No,
honey, fly back. It's faster.

~Lois Declares her Love~

Of course I trust you, and I respect you more than anyone else I've ever
met. And you know,if I do get angry, it's only because I have never opened
up to somebody so much in my whole life. And it hurts me when I feel like
that trust isn't returned. And you know you put up with me for the same
reason I put up with you-- It's because I'm completely in love with you!

You know, if somebody had asked me three days ago who the one person in
the world admired most was, I'd have said you. But, without really knowing
what that meant. Without understanding that the hardest thing about being
you is all the things you can't do. All the cries for help that you can't
answer. How that quietly tears you apart. It never stops you. And after
living a little of that myself, I realized something. Something that I
never thought was possible. What? I love you more. More than I ever have
and more than I ever thought I could love anyone. And so, I wanna ask..
Will you marry me? Who's asking, Lois, or Ultrawoman? Who's answering,
Clark, or Superman? I'm answering. I'm waiting. YES.

Jimmy, I'm too old to surf, and too smart to think that you can catch
love in a net. ~Perry

It's not the years that count, its the moments. Right now, as they happen.
~Clark

.......wherever I am, I'll carry the best of Earth with me. And while I'm
gone, I ask each one of you to look to yourselves for the strength,
decency, and
compassion that I know each one of you has inside. Emerson said self trust
is the essence of heroism. Inside each of you is a hero. And so I leave,
knowing that a world full of heroes has nothing to fear.

Now, that was fun wasn't it? :) If only making up yummy quotes was as easy
as finding them! Which is why, *I* QuoteGirl herself, still, have not
figured out a name for my column!! I am still accepting suggestions, ideas,
and entries for the "Name My Column" Contest. E-mail me today!!!

My FOLC Story
by DaDzGrL99@aol.com

I first started watching Lois & Clark on it's second episode, because there was nothing else to watch on TV. After that episode, I was completely hooked, and never missed another episode even if it was a rerun. After it went off ths air, I taped all the episodes off TNT and now I have them on tape. I don't watch them every day, but I do sometimes and I'll keep them forever! I printed so many articles and pics off the internet and keep them in my Lois & Clark collection box. I also have many of the Lois & Clark trading cards, a Superman keychain, the Superman speical edition wedding comic book, and various other related items w/Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. My family thinks I'm totally obssessed, but I can't help it! =)

"Just Say Noah"

What is the funniest episode?
"Home Is Where the Hurt Is"

What is the most romantic moment of L&C?
End of "Soulmates".....I get teary-eyed everytime I watch it! :)

What is the most exciting moment of L&C?
Hmmmm......probably when Clark fights Lord Nor in "Battleground Earth."

What are some of your best memories of L&C?
Definitely the WAFFy ones....lots of people remember those the most.

Which haircut of Lois's do you like best? Long hair or short?
Short....it gives her a more spunky look....not that Lois is spunky or anything...:)

Clark Kent looks best when he...
...doesn't have his glasses on, but his hair looks like Clark's.....luv it!

Which character do you think should have appeared more often on the show (Lucy, Bill Church, Jack, Cat, etc.??)
I think Lucy, Cat, and Jack should've appeared more often...they add more flavor into the episodes...a little more humor, I guess you could say....Cat's antics are to die for!

How often do you watch L&C?
Every week, if I have the time after school and softball practice. I try and get a few episodes in when I'm going through a particular hard bout of LCWS.

Why do you love Lois & Clark?
Just the way the writers and producers portrayed the show...they made the lives of Lois, Clark, and Superman seem so realistic....they don't have perfect lives after all...we were put through the good, bad, angry, and sad times.....and Dean was also another reason to come back time and time again! :)

My FOLC Story
by Sharon (LNCTNAOS@aol.com)

Well, ... let's see...... Ummm... I'm a really big fan of Superman (the comic, the old TV series, the movies, the Super Boy programs, etc...) So ... changin into a FoLC was no big thing for me cuz I would watch it no matter what since it was Superman (& I just luv superman )

Anyway... Lois & Clark started when I was in my Junior/Senior year of high school. I can still remember the days when my friends & I would come in on Monday, congregate around a classroom (or in a classroom) & talk about the ep that aired that weekend (& how great Dean looked -- of course ... let's not kid ourselves here )... If the conversation lasted longer than the bell would allow, we would stay after school & talk about it in a classroom

At that time, I was co-chair of a club that we had in our school & I would make that one of the topics of our club meetings if we had nothin to discuss pertainin to the club (& that was a lot of the time )

I graduated high school & went off to college. I thought I'd be the only FoLC there. Suprise suprise! I've met FoLCs that were my bosses, my classmates & other faculty A few times, my boss would ask me if I would bring tapes of Lois & Clark so she could watch the eps that she missed. I've even taken one of the TV sets from one of the rooms where no one was usin it to watch Lois & Clark w/my boss ain't I a stinker :P

On one occasion... I think it was ATAI where Clark proposed ... one of my friends called me up that night just to ask me if I was gunna tape the show (now ... what do you think I said) :P We talked for a few min about the show & what we thought was gunna happen in that particular ep. Anyway ... when the show started ... we hung up & I started taping

I still look back fondly on those days

Now ... now, I watch Lois & Clark on TNT. I never miss an ep. I've seen every ep that's aired on TNT. I've watched them every time they're shown (which means I've seen every ep a couple of times now ) I'm in the process of re-tapin the eps (not that I didn't get them on ABC, cuz I did) because I wanted to wipe out my "Watched by more people than any other network -- ABC" I am such a stinker.

Anyway ... now people know me around school & home because I am the big fan of Superman/Lois & Clark on campus or at home No one at home understands my fascination w/it But I do

Episode Titles & Acronyms

Since a few people have asked for a complete list of episode titles, I figured, why not put the list in this very newsletter? And, while I'm at it, why not add to it the episode's acroynm? And maybe I should add a small synopsis of the episode, so you know which episode plot goes with which episode title.
Episode acronyms are commonly used among FOLCs as a way of saying an episode title without having to type the whole title out.
These titles (and their acronyms) are what are most commonly used in chat rooms and message boards.
Acronyms are in (parentheses). Some episode titles might not have acronyms. Others might have more than one. The episode synopsis is written after the acronym. Here we go!

An Interview With a FOLC....
by Gretchen (FOLCzRUs@aol.com)

My name is, Gretchen Louise Nathe

My fave L&C ep is, "Honeymoon In Metropolis"

The funniest episode is, "A.K.A. Superman"

The most romantic moment is in, "Swear To God This Time We're NOT Kidding", when Lois and Clark are exchanging their wedding vows. They make you wanna cry.

The most exciting moment is in "Double Jeopardy", where there's the confrontation between, "Wanda", "Clois", Clark, and "Kent".

Some of my best memories of L&C are: at the end of "Soulmates", when C spins into the black boxer shorts and robe, the shower scene in "It's A Small World After All", seeing Steve Young(woooooohooooo!!!!) in "It's A Small World After All", seeing C in boxers at the beginning of "Lethal Weapon", the wedding vows on top of the mountain, L's first impression of Jonathan--before she knew he was C's dad, C in boxers yet again at the end of "Sex, Lies, and Videotape", *all* the kissing scenes....especially the LONG ones, i.e., the makeup scene in "Just Say Noah", the make-out scene in "Virtually Destroyed", and the kissing scenes in "Soulmates".

I prefer Lois' hair short. I was mad when she first cut it, but it grew on me.

Clark Kent looks best when he smiles that GORGEOUS smile of his, when he's laughing, when he's wearing NOTHING but boxer shorts and his smile, when he's pouring out his heart to Lois, heck, he looks good ALL the time!!!!!! :)

I think that Sara should've been on for more than just one episode. Her and Jimmy are cute together.

How often do *I* watch L&C...not very often, as I dont' get the t.v. to myself very often when it's on, plus if it's one I don't like I won't watch it either.

Why do *I* love LOIS AND CLARK??

I love them because they have something that I think *everyone* wants.....love, trust, honesty, loyalty, and most of all, they have their soulmates....each other.

My FOLC Story
by Rachel (Scardno007@aol.com)

The good thing about being a FOLC is the endless hours of lying on the floor, staring at the telly, crying, cheering, *screaming* (at the little brother or Lex Luthor), or, most of the time, just watching in silence. But believe me, if you have a family who doesn't particularly like L&C too, there are bad things, too. My dad likes L&C. My kid brother likes L&C.....though they're not to the point of being infatuated with them, I'm working on it. But my mom.....I'm not so sure about her. She likes L&C, but when it comes to the point of me watching them instead of eating dinner with the family......then it gets ugly. I began watching L&C when I was 10, I guess, in the middle of the first season, the episode "Witness," to be exact. As I flipped through the channels and came across this white-haired guy trying to strangle a young woman, I stopped my surfing and watched in a trace, as they ran around the room. And then this guy comes in - well, *bursts* in. Not just any guy, but *the* most gorgeous guy I had ever seen in *my* life of 10 years. Well, so far, at least. I barely saw the white-haired guy take his leave. But as this thoroughly well-defined guy crossed the room and comforted the young woman, and then hug her as they sat on the floor, I told myself, "That woman is one lucky lady," and from then on, I was hooked. The rest is history. As for my basis right now, I still feel obsessed, even though the show has been canceled for over a year now. I started writing fanfic while L&C was still airing, and I think that's somewhat of a factor that's kept my vital signs from dying.....and even though I'm only 13, I feel that I'm perfectly capable of being obsessed with a TV show.....that's more than I can say for all you old fogies out there....:) j/k! But all I can ask of all FoLCs now is that we never give up Lois and Clark...even if they never bring it back....let's keep our hopes alive, 'kay? Oh, yeah, and maybe one of you can tell me where I can get a copy of a blooper tape, or even something like a gag reel or something? Just tell me if it's a lame-o question...as a 13 year-old, I don't know any better!

An Interview With a FOLC....
by Jenn (Jenna1129@aol.com)

What is your name? Jenn

What is your favorite L&C episode? I like Season's Greedings, WWW, ATAI, FH, PML, many more! I won't list them all in case any of you print out this newsletter and use up all that ink. Save the Whales! LOL j/k

What is the funniest episode? That would have to be Season's Greedings! I love how they act so childish! I can really relate to that!

What is the most romantic moment of L&C? That first kiss...remember?? (What am I saying, of course you remember!!) I must have rewound and played that a hundred times...

What is the most exciting moment of L&C? One word! TEMPUS!!! When Lois first found out CK=Superman! Wowy, even though I had read a spoiler, I still got chills when it first aired!

What are some of your best memories of L&C? Dean, rushing Daily Planet workers, coffee, space rats, bananas, kryptonite, Smallville, Mayson (yes, I'll admit it! I liked her a little), Lois and her stuck-up attitude...I could go on and on!

Which haircut of Lois's do you like best? Long hair or short? Definately long, don't ask me why.

Clark Kent looks best when he... is shirtless, or has a shirt, preferably black. Glasses on or off, it doesn't really matter, as long as they aren't the first season butt-ugly ones! :o)

Which character do you think should have appeared more often on the show (Lucy, Bill Church, Jack, Cat, etc.??) Well, I miss Cat, she gave the show an...interesting and original feature. Then there was Jack, that mysterious guy we'll always be asking ourselves questions about.

How often do you watch L&C? As often as possible! Let's just say I have an ep in my VCR at all times!

Why do you love Lois & Clark? I love it for so many reasons! Because it was romantic, it had a hot guy in the lead, gave me good dreams, something for my friends to make fun of me about , and because it led me to meet some awesome friends online I probably would have never met! Basically, I love it because it was a *good* show, and that's pretty rare these days.

*************************************************************************
I'll give 50 superdollars to the first person who answers this trivia question correctly:

What are the aliases Lois & Clark use in the episode "Resurrection" when they go to visit Big Buster Williams...AND on what currently-in-production TV show are/were there two characters with those exact same names?

(Send your answers to LoveLC@aol.com)
