Newsletter #25

************************************************************************
Hey, FOLCs! Now that the season is changing, FOLC Central is going to be changing a little bit as well. College is starting for me in one week. Ick. So I'll be doing that full-time, plus two part-time jobs. I still would like to be able to send out 1-2 newsletters a week. And I certainly don't want to overwork our *super* columnists: Rachel, Karen, Maggie, Jill, and Cat:) They do a great job, but we need *your* help, too. You can send things like star sightings (if you see a L&C star or guest-star on TV or in a movie, let us know!) or your favorite quotes (maybe you just got done watching a L&C episode and found a hilarius quote. Share it with us!) Or maybe just your thoughts on particular subject or episode or...well, anything! Got a favorite website? Send us the link! Did you love a certain fanfic? Tell us the title! Did you have a L&C dream last night? Tell us about it (as long as it's not *too* strange!) It's way easy to participate, and I'd love it if you did. If you would like more information, e-mail me at lovelc@aol.com!

SUPERDOLLARS--yes, you all should know by now how you can earn them. One way is to get your question published in "Ask Cat Grant". Another way is to be the first person to correctly answer our newsletterly (is that a word?) trivia.

Now there's a new way! In most newsletters, we'll have a "L&C Questionette". Basically, just answer the question. And if you want, be creative! I'll print as many as we can in a future newsletter, but one (or two, or three, depending on how many answers I recieve each week) lucky question-answerer (it could be you!) will get 35 superdollars each time! How will I pick the winner? I'll be looking at creativity (mostly) and humor. If it's a serious topic, then I'll judge it accordingly.

So now there are *three* easy ways to earn yourself some superdollars! And guess what? There is some VERY cool stuff in the superstore http://members.aol.com/LoveLC/supstore.html). Like...

*A factory sealed box of Lois & Clark trading cards!

*A 1999 Teri Hatcher calendar!

*L&C Tattoos

*Lois & Clark: A Superman Novel

*Superman merchandise!

and lots more! Visit the SuperStore--what's new? page!

Ask Cat Grant!
by CatGrant36@aol.com

Dear Cat:

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice that in the episodes, "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" & " AKA Superman", the little remote control that Randy Good uses is the same one that Penny's boss uses for sound-proofing his office are the same???
Perplexed in Portland

Dear Perplexed,
First, let me give everyone reading this a brief moment to consult their tapes of "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" and "AKA Superman" in order to see that you are, in fact, correct. Second, let me congratulate you on your astute observation. I, for one, was unaware of that incosistency on the part of the production company. I have three explanations for you, choose whichever one you so desire:
1) All villians belong to a union. Villians belonging to this union purchase all of their evil-doing tools at the same place, and that would explain why both Randy Good and Penny's boss have the exact same remote control.
2) The Warner Brothers Company was cheap. By the time "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" and "AKA Superman" rolled around, Lois and Clark was in its 4th season. And by this time, the end of Lois and Clark was certain. (BUT, remember it will always live on in our hearts!) So, instead of dropping the extra $5 for a new prop, the people in charge of props, or "prop people" if you will, decided that they would recycle the remote from the previous episode. Little did they know that some FoLCs are incredibly observant. But, in their defense--Recycling is good for The Planet.
3) A certain "prop person" was placed in charge of selecting a remote control for the use of Penny's boss. But due to unforseen circumstances, whatever they may have been, this employee....forgot. In order to avoid being scolded, he/she found the remote control from the previous episode and decided that it would work well enough.

Thanks for writing! And don't forget to send your questions to--- CatGrant36@aol.com
REMEMBER, the writer of the selected letter will recieve 50 superdollars!

As Seen Through Lois' Eyes
Part Three.........
by Rachel M.

On Christmas Eve, we arrived home at a late hour, because we had just gotten back from a Christmas party that one of Mother's friends had thrown. She gave me the key to unlock the numerous locks on the door. She had always said, "You can never have too many locks," and I believed her. As I opened the door, the alarm went off, and as I was opening the door further so I could go inside the house, it suddenly became jammed. I looked down and there was the dog and the stick that we laid between the door and the end of the doorframe (our door was a sliding door) for extra insurance against burglars. I guessed the dumb mutt had knocked the stick down from its usual spot leaning against the wall. So as the alarm continued going off, I went through another screaming fit. Mother literally went hysterical, because when the usual beep goes off for 30 seconds, it viciously turns into a wailing blare that I'm sure must've woken up the entire neighborhood. We tried forcing the door. Didn't work. Tried the front door. Didn't work. Lucy and I finally gave up and retreated to the slightly warmer temperature and quieter conditions in the car while Mother mirthlessly kicked away at the door, hoping that maybe if she screamed loud enough, the door would magically open. Lucy jumped out of the car, mumbling something about trying the windows. She managed to get a window open (imagine us having a million locks on our door, but not locking the windows...Ha!), and Mother practically went ballistic. When the police arrived (which was about an hour later), they had their usual stoic faces on, and they were even less amused than the incident before. I vowed to kill them when I was older (naturally I didn't), but of course they went on their merry way, leaving us with yet another fine. I told Mother to take it to court because *they* were the ones that arrived an hour and a half late. But she said she didn't want to go to all the trouble and paid it. I was about to go to the courthouse myself, but Mother read my thoughts like an open book...she said that if I went to the courthouse she'd take an ax to me. I never doubted her for a minute.
-----------------------------------------------------

And you know what comes after three...everybody together now! "FOUR!!" Wonderful! We can all count to four! That's great!......
-Rachel :)

Trivia

Last newsletter's question was:

>>What are the names of the two famous actresses that talked about DEAN CAIN when they hosted a night of "T.G.I.F." a few years ago? Hint: they're sisters, and they currently star on a TV show together.<<

The answer is... Tia & Tamera Mowry, of "Sister, Sister"! Now, maybe this question was a little too easy. A whole lot of you got it right! But the FIRST person to answer correctly, and the winner of 50 superdollars is... LNCTNAOS@aol.com! Also, way to go to the following FOLCs who also got the answer right: Maysonlane, EllieNora, Azalea, Tracy, Cubby89, TeriDean4E, FoLCzRUs, amberlea112, jkemfort, Mary, CatCrazy36, ARiche, Chocluv120, and Esophagus5! I hope I didn't forget to include anyone! :)

This newsletter's question is:

Name the three Lois & Clark guest-stars (the actors' names please) that also starred in the 1995 TV Movie "The Langoliers". (If you don't know all three, just name the ones that you can. If no one gets all three, then the first person with the most correct names will get the superdollars). Good luck!

50 superdollars to the first person with the correct answer! Send your answers to LoveLC@aol.com!
