hey FoLCs, what's up? if you can believe it, i am actually writing
this column Jan. 27, because i was bored. well, only the first part, because it
would be kind of dumb if i didn't put any fanfic in here. oh, and if you guys
are wondering, i WAS related to john,
on with the show!!!!
here's something from our very own Gretchen, in which Lois gets more than
she bargained for when she plays a game that starts out as innocent with
Clark.....
"TAG! You're it!!!!" --

Clark and
Lois were sitting on their love-seat and they were both bored out of their
minds. They'd been sitting like that for about 20 minutes, when Lois jumped up.
"You know what Clark?" she asked.
"What, Lois?" he answered.
"This is really boring--in case you haven't noticed--you wanna play a
game?" she asked, looking hopefully at him.
"Um...okay, what kinda game?"
he asked cautiously--he never really knew what his sexy wife had planned--until
it was usually too late.
"Oh, I don't know......how 'bout Tag??" she
suggested.
"Tag? Okay.....sure why not? Who's "IT" first?" he asked.
"How 'bout me?? I like the idea of chasing you around the apartment,"
she grinned and leaned in to tag him.
"Okay with me!" he agreed, getting
up from the couch. He knew she was going to tag him if he didn't watch out--so,
he started running away from her. As he started running, she started chasing him
around and laughing as he'd go running in one direction and then abruptly go the
other way.
Finally, she managed to corner him and then she tagged him.
Immediately, she realized the error of her ways because he caught up with her,
and instead on tagging her like the rules said he was supposed to...he kissed
her instead. Well, needless to say, after she kissed him back, they both forgot
about their game of Tag. THE END

RAnDOM ThOUgHtS
I have a mission. To see "Titanic"
as many times as I can. I am not alone. I love that movie. Now if you are
wondering what this has to do with Lois & Clark (this being a L&C
newsletter and all
While watching the movie, I have
noticed quite a few similarities between the characters on the show and in the
movie. Take, for instance, Cal (from "Titanic") and Lex Luthor... (Note: If you
haven't seen "Titanic" yet (um, why not?), the following my contain things that
you don't want to know. I just don't wanna spoil the movie for you. So you HAVE
been warned!)
10 SIMILARITIES BETWEEN LEX AND CAL...
10--They're
both men.
9--They're both incredibly wealthy. At least at first.
8--They
both (at one point) get engaged to a beautiful women (Cal to Rose, and Lex to
Lois), who consciously (or not) would rather be with the cute hero of our
story.
7--They both act nice and innocent when they're around most people,
but secretly they're big old jerks.
6--They do bad things and frame a cute
guy named Jack (Lex did it in "Barbarians at the Planet").
5--They both have
three-letter names. OK, I *know* Cal is short for Caledon or whatever, and who
knows what Lex is short for? But it's the thought that counts!
4--In the end,
the woman they're engaged to comes to her senses and decides to lose the guy and
chase that cute hero of our story.
3--They both try to kill the cute
hero.
2--They're both jealous of the cute hero.
1--They're both not
*nearly* as cute as the cute hero (I guess that's a matter of opinion...but it's
*my* opinion, so there!)
5 REASONS TITANIC AND LOIS & CLARK ARE
NOT ALL THAT SIMILAR...
5--When Lois was unsure about marrying
Lex, her mom told her to follow her heart and that it wasn't too late to get out
of it. Rose's mother wasn't exactly supportive. She was practically forcing Rose
to marry Cal, not exactly caring about Rose's feelings.
4--Lois and Rose have
*totally* different hair colors! It's so obvious!
3--Have we ever seen Lois
and Clark on a giant ocean liner? A little tiny boat, yes. A ship? No.
2--If
there was a sinking ocean liner on L&C, Superman would have saved it. It
would NOT have sunk.
1--Jack is actually good at poker, unlike Clark (who
*almost* used his x-ray vision in one episode to see someone else's cards). But
then again, how's a guy supposed to win when he's playing against Perry "still
cheating at poker?" White?
3 REASONS TITANIC AND LOIS & CLARK ARE
VERY SIMILAR...
3--Jack's always wearing suspenders, and Clark
wore them in "Illusions of Grandeur".
2--In both the movie and L&C, the
cute hero seems to be constantly saving the heroine. Meanwhile, the heroine has
a few opportunities to do some rescuing of her own.
1--Lois and Clark tend to
do a *lot* of kissing...and so do Jack and Rose (no kidding! LOL:)

CONTEST!!
Yes, it's another one of them crazy contests! How would you like to win a
set of L&C trading cards? As in, a full set of all 90 regular cards?? I know
some of you already have the trading cards, but if you don't, this is the
contest for you!
Each card has a picture from the L&C's first season,
with a description on the back. They're very nice, and a must-have for FOLCs.
