L&C Thoughts
Even if you don't know what LCWS is, chances are (if you're a FOLC), you've probably experienced it at one time or another. I know I have. LCWS stands for Lois and Clark Withdrawal Syndrome (or the "S" can stand for "Symptoms"). You know, the feeling you get when you haven't seen L&C in awhile, and you kind of get irritable, irrational...dare we say it, crazy? Symptoms can include...

*Craving Chocolate
*Dreaming about L&C
*A weird itch behind your right ear
*Humming the L&C theme song in public
*Quoting L&C in everyday conversations
*Accidental saying L&C-related stuff. ("I'm going to take the Clark to work today. The car. I mean the CAR.")
*Thinking constantly about L&C
*Planning revenge on the evil network (maybe that's just me)
*Emotional tantrums

Etc., etc. Sure, some of these things can happen when you're watching Lois & Clark, too, but most often, they occur when you're not watching it. Or sometimes you might get one or more of these symptoms, and you'll laugh and say "No, this is normal for me. It's not LCWS." Oh, you poor, misguided soul! EVERYTHING is LCWS. Because if you are an obsessed, fixated FOLC like I am, if you are not watching the show 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, YOU WILL GO CRAZY. So it's only natural that you should experience some of these or other similar symptoms. Do not fear, there is a cure. Take two L&C episodes and call me in the morning.

Then there's the weather. Like, when it's sunny at about 5:37 in the evening. I get this warm and fuzzy feeling. And the smell in the air--(I don't care how weird this may sound)--it reminds me of L&C. I'm transported back to 1995 when "Individual Responsibility" and "And The Answer Is..." aired. Or 1996. Heck, even 1997 and that "Lex Files" storyline. I guess it's just part of being a FOLC. L&C means everything, so why shouldn't the weather be associated with L&C, too? And banana popsicles. What that has to do with anything, I don't know.

Dean & Teri News/Alerts

DEAN'S MADE-FOR-TV MOVIE, "Dog Boys", debuts THIS SATURDAY, April 4, on The Movie Channel. Check your TV Guide, but here on the West Coast it starts at 9pm.
If you miss it, the movie will re-run on Wednesday, April 8, same time and channel.
It's rated "TV-14 DLSV"--translation? It's an adult-oriented movie. (OK, stop that cheering, you know who you are! Just kidding:)
Here's what TV Guide has to say about the movie:

"At a high security prison, a hot-tempered convict (Dean Cain) is placed in the "dogboys" unit, where the inmates train, feed, and act as human targets for killer attack dogs owned by a sadistic guard (Bryan Brown)."

Why does this plot sound familiar? I think it was an episode of "Quantum Leap". Seriously weird.
And there's a picture of Dean near the very back of the TV Guide (April 4-10 issue), and I must say, he looks good!

When I started watching Lois and Clark: From the beginning but I became obsessed in the second season.
Lois and Clark stuff I own: I have a tee shirt with Lois and Clark, 2 Superman tees, a Superman mousepad, The Lois and Clark calander, Lois and Clark soundtrack, a huge poster, a binder filled with Lois and Clark trading cards. A Valentine with Dean Cain/Superman, a Superman tin, a candy that says Lois of Love refering to Lois Lane. A Superman pin and keychain. A Superman ring and wallet. Tons and Tons and Tons of Lois and Clark pictures and just pictures of Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain. All of the Lois and Clark books, a book about what inspired the televison show. Superman action figures. All of the Lois and Clark episodes on tape. Show/Apperences that Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher have been on. Thousands of pictures and waves and downloaded videos and virtual tours I took on-line. Magazines and TV guides Dean and Teri have been on. Superman window decals, autographs and Superman tattos. Superman/Lois and Clark party invations, blowers, hats, plates etc. And all of my thousand of pictures hang all around my room.

Cutest Star ever: Dean Cain who else but the sexy man of steel
Best Villian: Lex Luthor, Tempus was evil too, but Lex Luthor was so horrible and the longest villian on and would stop at nothing to win what he wants, Lois and to kill Superman.
Pets: Cat, Lucky and a fish named, Superman
I think Lois and Clark: Is the best televison show that has ever lived and I love it so much that I watch it ever single night on TNT.

Why Lois & Clark Is The Best TV Show Ever!

In our March 1st newsletter, we asked you to tell us, in 50 words or less, why Lois & Clark is the best TV show ever. Many FOLCs noted that summing up all their L&C feelings in just 50 words was difficult. I'm with you, there! :) I have just got to say that the responses we received were SO wonderful. They were funny, creative, and oh so true--and they brought back great memories. Isn't being a FOLC great? :) Thanks to EVERYONE who replied. Here are some of the SUPER responses we got...

Lois and Clark was the best because it touched the hearts of it's viewers. We were able to see the growth of a relationship, the development of a couple that we could laugh with, cry for, and learn from. Their chemistry was honest, frustrating, loving, caring, and understanding at once.

Dean Cain. Who can forget WAFFs and Tempus' DUH!? LnC is the best show ever because it is the perfectly blended combination of romance, action, sci-fi, fantasy, humor, and certainly Superman, so Lois & Clark has something for almost anyone. Also, LnC often relates to real life. And Dean Cain.

Lois and Clark is da bomb diggity because of their true love and the fact Clark is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very buff and has a cute tush.

Lois and Clark is the absolute best show there is because the "characters" on the show have the most beautiful souls. They are absolutely one in mind and heart in everything anyone of them did. They could make me cry by looking sad in the least bit. I felt, if I could reach them, I would do anything to make them smile again. Touching is a good word to descibe the show.

Why do I love L&C? Easy question! I love it because of the way it makes me feel. Never before has a TV show made me feel this way. From throwing objects at the TV when Lois disses Clark, to crying when they didn't get married, to not being able to wait for Sunday to come, to screaming when Lois finally found out Clark was Superman, this show has been my way to let out my feelings. Probably the most fun I've ever had in my life was during the 4 years I was in love with the show...collecting any pictures and objects that related to L&C, dreaming of Dean, getting involved with the L&C online clubs, meeting some of my best friends...the feeling will never be replaced. I will always be grateful to L&C for bringing me so much happiness, and it was, is, and always will be my favorite show, the best show in the world.

LOIS AND CLARK
WHY IT IS THE BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD
Lois and Clark is pure escapism. The people are all beautiful, the lines between good and bad are clearly drawn, the characters' problems are always worse than our own, and everything always manages to work itself out eventually. It's what we all wish our lives could be like.

"Experts" say great show include various things like murder, mystery, intrigue, sexual tension, comedic relieve, yadda yadda yadda. L&C has all the great elements, plus a great cast with incredible chemistry. But, L&C has still something more - an adhesive quality within and without. The FoLCs are proof of the latter.

Awww...I'm getting all teary-eyed. Those were SO SWEET! I can feel the love in this room! OK, LOL, thanks again FOLCs!! THOSE WERE SO, SO GREAT!!!

hey, hey, hey all you lucky FoLCs out there!! We have *two* fanfics for ya this month, *if* you're lucky. But don't forget our infamous fanfic contest that will be going on. Send your fanfic in! Win a trip to Hawaii!! < just kidding.....don't go there...> But you *can* get an interesting prize and your name posted up at the FoLC Central website, and I'm pretty sure the names will be listed when we finish judging. But even though this is all very interesting, I better just get on with it. :)
Here's another breath-taker (no pun intended, GG) from the one and only GG Cain...a teary-eyed one where you find another one of Lois and Clark's songs....

"Take My Breath Away"--Written by: GG Cain

Lois was lounging on the couch in Clark's apartment and wishing that Clark would come home from New Krypton *soon*! She missed him terribly and knew that he missed her just as much. Sighing, she got up and went to the stereo and turned it on.

She didn't know what station it was on, and she really didn't care. The only thing she *really* cared about was too far away for her to do anything about it. As she lay back down on the couch-which was facing the stereo--she heard the familiar beginning notes of her favorite song, "Take My Breath Away".

She felt the tears well up in her eyes as she remembered what Clark had done when he'd found out that this was her favorite song--he'd ran out and bought the CD with this song on it, he'd also bought the movie "Top Gun".

She also remembered how they'd danced numerous times to this song....and how each time the song had ended, he'd kissed her and then started the song all over again. She'd *almost* gotten sick of the song, but when she thought of Clark...she knew she'd always love this song.

As the song progressed, she thought she heard a gust of wind from the window--which was behind her--so she turned around......and when she did....she gasped!! Clark was standing there, in the window!!!!

She rushed over to the window--and slowly reached out, just in case he wasn't really there. But he took her hand and kissed it. Then he came all of the way inside, and said, "Miss Lane, may I have this dance?" "She sighed, and then smiling, she said, "But of course..let me check my dance card to make sure there's an empty slot for you."

He laughed, and then said, "I love you with everything that I am......and I swear that I will *NEVER* leave you again." "I'll hold you to that Mr. Kent.", she answered..then she kissed him and they danced to the rest of the song on the radio.

After it ended, Clark turned on the CD player and pushed PLAY--and when the song started, Lois couldn't help but laugh. They danced to "Take My Breath Away", for the rest of the night.

And to this day, on every anniversary of the day he came back to her, they play this song for at least two hours, to remind themselves of how lucky they are to have each other's love, and each other.

There is *another* song they reserve for their wedding anniversary, but that's another fanfic.THE END

Wasn't that great?!! Thanks to GG for sending that in...and now for our second and last, but not least, fanfic of the month....a Lucky Charms story where Lois gets her punishment for not wearing green on St. Pat's Day! *And* she also gets something a little less painful, but a little more *terrifying* in the elevator! *And* (more "ands," I know..don't ask..) we find out another one of Lois' shocking secrets!!!.....

It was the morning of Saint Patrick's Day, and Lois could not find *anything* to wear with green on it. At least nothing she could wear to work. "Arrgh! What the heck happened to all my decent green stuff to wear?" she wondered. Finally out of frustration, she just put something on.

When she got to work, she noticed that somebody had decorated the newsroom in all sorts of things with leprechauns and pots of gold, as well as four-leaf clovers on it. "Cute" she thought. She walked over and sat down at her desk. No sooner had she done that, then Clark came out of Perry's office.

"C'mon Lois, Perry just assigned us a story." "Oh great, on what?" "I'll tell you in the elevator." "Okay, let's go." They got into the elevator and as soon as the doors closed, Clark leaned towards Lois and pinched her on the behind.

"HEY! What was *that* for?!?!" "Because silly, it's Saint Patty's Day--and *someone's* not wearing any green." "Oh yes I am wearing green, you wanna see it?" "Okay with me--but in the elevator??" "Yes in the elevator--got a problem with that?"

"Not if you do, sweetie." Then Lois hits the emergency button, which of course causes the elevator to come to a screeching halt. "What was that for?" "Oh come on, you're smart, you figure it out." "Okay--how's this?", he asked--as he grabbed her and pressed her into the wall. "Mmm...very good Clarkie, now...where's *your* green?" Then she opened his shirt, and when she didn't see the familiar suit underneath it, she asked him where it was.

"I left it at home because I was thinking of whisking you and me off to Ireland for St. Patty's Day--it would just be you and me and no Superman. How's that sound to you?" "Sounds great! Let me pull the button out, so we can get going." "Okay"

Lois gets down and pulls on the button--expecting it to come out and for the elevator to start moving again. Five minutes later, the buttton was out, but the elevator was still stuck. "Omigod! Clark, why isn't it moving?? Please do *not* tell me we're stuck in here." "Well....." "Clark, there's something I should tell you--it's kinda important right now." "What is it?" "I'm...well, I'm claustrophobic."

All of a sudden Clark started laughing. "Very funny, Clark! You try not breathing for a long time. Oh wait, you can do that. So don't save the air for me...your wife...soulmate...best friend...lover." "I bet I can take your mind off of that air thing...would you like me to try?" "In here, Clark?" "Well you wanted to just a few minutes ago--remember?" "Yes, but that was before we got stuck in this death trap."

He holds her and comforts her, while he listens for people to rescue them. Finally, Clark decides to risk being seen doing something "super" so he can save his beloved and adored wife. He pries the elevator doors open...and carries her to safety. She kisses him and then they fly off to Ireland later that afternoon. THE END

There! Another *scintilating* story!! Thanks to GG and Liz for sending that one in!! (Brings on memories of Round Robins, huh?) Anyway, before I shoot off again, keep those great stories coming in!!

Random Thoughts

hey FoLCs!!! Forgot one minor thing when I gave you guys my "victim" profile.* In L&C merchandise, I put that I only had 4 LnC books. But that's not entirely true. I have 4 LnC books, but I *also* have the Lois and Clark soundtrack. I just *had* to tell you all that, otherwise I would go nuts. So that's that.

Who *I* Think Should Be In The New Superman Movie

Superman should be played by DEAN CAIN
Lois should be played by Sandra Bullock, cuz I think she'd make a great Lois. Teri's busy with her new baby and all, but naturally I would love for her to play Lois too!
Perry should be played by Sydney from "The Pretender". Cuz he's cute ;-) Not Leo-cute, but...still...you know!
Jonathan should be played by the guy from the IHOP commercials.
Martha should be played by Carol from The Brady Bunch.
Jimmy should be played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who by the way, is only about two months younger than Justin. Sorry Justin! I love you too though!
The new Superman movie should take off where L&C left off, and also add some new characters, including some more permanent love interests for Jimmy, played by Claire Danes, Kate Winslet, and me. And in the movie Lois and Clark should be living in Clark's old apartment (from the show) cuz that place was kinda cool. There should be lots of kissing scenes, and Lex should come back fromt the dead again (why not)? And he could be played by...Billy Zane! Yes. I'm seeing a blockbuster here!! OK, Tim Burton, are you listening here?
