Color Me Cristin -- Comedic Kerths Edition

I read all the best comedy nominees! Yay me! They were all pretty decent. I have this system where I jot down notes about each story after I read it and put stars by the one I'm voting for. I still can't believe I read all those in one day! That category took me almost 3 hours!!! (I also made a note of that ) So anyway, my pick.

The nominated stories are as follows (spoliers included):

Three Capes to the Wind (IRC Round Robin) -- A pretty good story (though there are better RRs) which ends up with Lois being pregnant. It was good, but I can't recall laughing.

Is He or Is He Not? by Bella -- Lois thinks Clark is gay with Supes, and Clark thinks Lois has figured out his secret. This is hilarious. :o)

Commercial Break by Ellen Garnett and Debby Stark -- Kerth commercials from last year.

The New Bed by Audrey Rempel -- A cute story about L&C needing a new bed.

Couch Potatoes by Phil Atcliffe -- L&C rent the Chris Reeve movie "Superman" and draw parallels between themselves and their screen personas. It's a great story, but I wouldn't quite call it comedy.

The best thing about Phil's story is that it gave me my Kerth motto: "It's *what* you write, not how much, that's important." With all these long stories nominated, I keep thinking that. I mean, there's nothing wrong with long stories. Sometimes I get wrapped up and forget the hours upon hours spent reading.

My personal choice for this category is "Is he or is he not?" by Bella cause it cracked me up! :o) So, there ya go. Next time: Short stories (my fave category )
