What's New?
Big news, FOLCs. As many of you may have heard or seen by
now, Lois & Clark will not be on at 5pm on TNT anymore. No more weekday
L&C airings. L&C will still air on Sunday mornings at 9am. Now, before
you get mad and start sending hate mail to TNT, listen up. We have heard that
TNT needs to reduce the number of Lois & Clark airings. Why? Because they
are only allowed to show each episode a certain number of times, during it's
scheduled 3-year run. The 3-year run is set to expire in September 2000. BUT if
TNT keeps showing L&C episodes 6 days a week, they will end up showing each
episode as many times as they are allowed to show it WAY before September 2000.
At six episodes a week, they would certainly run out before the end of 1999. And
then where would we be? Without any L&C on TNT at all!
So before you
start thinking that TNT is the next evil ABC, remember that they're doing this
for our own good. TNT isn't trying to kill us with LCWS, here! They're just
trying to keep L&C on their network as long as possible.

Tanya's Column!
by Tanya_Walsh@hotmail.com
Some time last year I was walking up the
stairs outside the tuckshop
with my friends Brooke and Renee. We were
talking about some of the
more embarrassing experiences in our lives. Well,
Renee and I were.
Brooke was rather silent, until she blurted out. "I've
never had an
embarrassing moment." This statement left Renee and I silent,
in a
total state of shock.
Honestly, how can anybody go through 15
years without having an
embarrassing moment? That thought is so incredible
to me, so
unbelievable, so Incomprehensible that the concept is almost ALIEN
to
me.
I guess it's because I'm the "Queen of Embarrassing Moments" I
mean,
when you look like I do you spend your whole life being totally
embarrassed
whenever you go out in public before you even do anything. And
then when I get
there. Oh god **cringes at some certain memories**. I think
I accumulate at
least 1 embarrassing moment a week, my embarrassment scale
has gotten so
high it's practically about to break the building down. I've
had embarrassing
moments of all kinds; and you're not going to find out
=)
But the point of today's story is to tell you about an embarrassing
moment I had about a week ago. It's a pretty pathetic embarrassing moment
and
it's so stupid I'm embarrassed to tell you. But here goes. I have to
write it down because it's been burning a hole in my brain for the last week
or so.
OK, me and a couple of friends were in the computer rooms. OK, so
we're
deprived pathetic little people who go to the computer rooms at
lunchtime. Well, kind of. I was actually typing my english story out.
(I'd had a flash of creativity and HAD to get it down before it was too
late) and my friends had come along to read backstreet boy fanfiction
(?) (Don't ask).
Anyway; it was really nice there cause it was
another REALLY hot day!
(It's autumn now!! It finally registered! Well,
Spring for about 90% of
you guys) and the room is airconditioned. It was
REALLY crowded; all the
computers have the internet so everybody comes on at
lunchtime to use
the internet and chat and e-mail and there's nothing else
to do in the
school anyway. I was reading this really cool Lois and Clark
fanfic in
the background ("Heliophobia"! Read it!! It's in the "what's new"
section of the archive and you have NO idea how good it is!!) (BTW, I
just read Bella's story, "Is he or Isn't he" - the one Cristin mentioned
for best comedy and I agree!! Read it if you haven't already! It's
hilarious =) I'm still laughing.
So we were all quite contentedly
reading our fanfic, when Shoba walked
in. I'm not going to say that much
about Shoba, but she's VERY loud and
VERY unshy. So she walked up to my
screen, which I wasn't fast enough to
minimise and screamed out at the top
of her lungs... "LOIS LANE? CLARK
KENT? LOIS AND CLARK?"
Silence.
The entire body of the computer room froze and stared at me,
the deprived
person who was reading STORIES about a TV show that had
been taken off the
air 2 years ago. Shoba, sensing her audience and
ignoring my red face
(another thing about embarrassing moments. My face
goes bright red which
makes me even MORE embarrassed) screamed out
"YOU'RE FANTASISING ABOUT LOIS
LANE?!!?! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA"
Ohmygod.
Thanks Shoba.
OK
I have to go play soccer now =) Lets see if I can actually kick the
ball
this week.

Hey all!
It's been a while! (My fault, I know
well in your worlds.
A dark cloud has set over the world of me. I can't
get on the internet! I
can't get on IRC! I CAN'T VOTE FOR THE
KERTHS!!!!!!!!!!! :o( What's a girl to
do? Dumb puter needs to work now.
Okay, anyway.
I saw EdTV Saturday. It
was SO funny. I just wanted to pass that
along. :o) Also, Never Been Kissed
comes out April 9th. I am SO
anticipating that one! Oh, my parents and I are
going to see that new
Michelle Pfieffer (sp?) movie, "Deep End of the Ocean".
It looks good.
:o)
Tomorrow I am wearing my new S symbol shirt I bought at
Wal-mart.
It is kind of a cross between a t-shirt and a tiny tee. It is blue
with
the S symbol in glittery red and gold. I can't wait to wear it! Oh,
if
any of you want to search for the shirt at YOUR Wal-marts... it was
in
the "Juniors" section near some other tiny tee/t-shirts with
little
decorations on them (... mickey mouse, pooh bear, random stuff).
:o)
I would write more, but I am SO tired. I will try and write
something
more exciting in my next column.
