What's New?
Kerth voting has ended :( If you didn't vote...well, why not? :)
But hey, the real excitement (the Kerths ceremony) is this Saturday--March 27th!
You can take part by attending. You probably know by now that the ceremony will
be on IRC. And some of you might wonder: "What the HECK is IRC?" Well, to put it
simply...it's like one big set of chat rooms. You can download the program
(mIRC) at www.mirc.com. Be sure to download the version of the program that is
compatable with your computer and the type of modem you have. After you download
the program, open it, and fill in the information it asks for. Connect to an
undernet server (there should be some possible ones on that web site) and then
join channel #loiscla. If you need help, e-mail me and I might be able to help
you, although I can't guarantee it, since I'm pretty new to IRC myself (3 years
is "new"? Yes, I still can't do sounds and even newbies know how to do
that...shame on me for never caring!)
Sooooo anyway...hope to see you at the
Kerths! They start at 6 EST, 3 PST! :)

Maggie's Mouthful
by Maggie (Maggie13@bellsouth.net)
I love Metropolis. Great City. Super
Heroes. Star Labs. World Class Daily
Newspaper. Wonderful place to visit and
if I could, I would probably live
there.
However, if I lived there,
sooner or later, I would probably move to the
suburbs.
Kids, schools,
quiet tree lined streets..........
And if Clark Kent was the one trying to
convince me
he'd probably have me completely moved out with wallpaper samples
and
furniture picked out in about 30 seconds or less.
Which is why
today, we are going on a little field trip.
We are off to Claremont. Just
outside of Metropolis.
Where Lois and Clark come Full Circle in Crystal
Wimmer's fabulous account
of what really happened after the Family Hour.
(Which was more like the
devastating hour of
what-do-you-mean-that's-the-last-episode!?!?!?!?!?!-
I-feel-a-nervous-breakdown-coming-on
in my house, but we won't go there.)
Claremont is the place Clark and
Lois choose to move to in order to raise
their family. They have a son, CJ.
And he has a best friend, Kat.
The story starts building around their
friendship, then zooms back into
Lois and Clark. It is a beautiful story,
which, when I read it, I could
not put down.
CJ and Kat's story
begins when the Kents move to Claremont and CJ sees
a little girl sitting
outside...........
"What's wrong?" CJ asked her.
"You're not a
girl," the child sobbed softly.
"That's not something to cry
about."
And so begins the story of a friendship just as powerful
as
Lois and Clark's and kicks off the story that will
bring our favorite couple,
"full circle"
Please be warned, what I consider to be sad,
downright, dramatic
events occur in this story. The characters go through
some difficult
moments, but those moments only serve to strengthen the power
of their
love. This story is nominated for the 1999 Kerth Awards and will go
down
in Mouthful History as one of the tastiest, ever.

4-ever Fanfic!
Today's Fanfic of the Day is "The Martha Chronicles 1: The
Martha Bums", by Christy Kubit. This charming fanfic tells the story of a young
Martha Kent from a first-person point-of-view. It's a sweet tale, and you'll
enjoy reading about how Martha meets her *future* husband, Jonathan Kent. And if
you like this story (which you probably will!), there are more stories in the
series to come! Read this story and many others at the Fanfic Archive
(http://lcfanfic.actwd.com/) or by going directly to

believe, going to be a series. Happy
reading!

THE
NIGHTMARE CHRONICLES 1 - "Loosing You Would Be The Death Of Me"
by Michael
van Kekem
"MOMMY!"
Lois woke up.She heard her
daughter crying.
She walked to her daughter's room, to see what
happened.
There, on her daughter's bed, laid an tape-recorder, which was
playing her
daughter's crying.
"NO!" Lois yelled and bursted into
tears.
Lois woke up. It was an nightmare she was having.
The second
one this week.
She walked to her daughter's room. Her daughter was sleeping
peacefully.
Lois got a smile on her face and took a big breath.
Her
daughter was fine, she thought. This nightmare doesn't mean
anything, she
said to herself.
"Are you okay, honey?" Clark asked, who stood behind
her.
"Oh, yeah. Of course I am," Lois replied.
She walked
downstairs to the kitchen. Clark followed her.
"Honey, what is bothering
you?" Clark asked.
"Nothing, Clark.There is nothing," Lois
replied.
She grabbed a glass and filled it with milk.
"You're
nervous," Clark said.
"No,I'm not," Lois said.
"Yes, you
are."
"No, I'm not. Now, can we go back to bed?" Lois
asked.
"Okay. Fine by me," Clark replied.
***
Next morning in
the kitchen:
"Hi, hon," Clark said, walking into the
kitchen.
"Hi," Lois said.
They kissed.
"Clark, I'm sorry,"
Lois said.
"For what?" Clark asked.
"For last night," Lois
said.
"Oh, that's okay. But I was worried. You looked so....down," Clark
explained.
"Well, to be honest.I've been having some..."
Before
Lois could finish her sentence their daughter, Lori, came in.
"What's for
breakfast, Mom?" Lori asked.
"Eh...nothing, honey," Lois said. "It's
8:00, you have to get going."
"Oh, no, see you after school, Mom,
Dad."
She kissed her mom and dad and left for school.
"I hope
she's gonna be all right," Lois said.
"Of course she is, honey. She is
seven years old," Clark replied.
***
That same morning.
Daily
Planet.
"Lois, Clark," Perry yelled into the newsroom."In my office,
please."
Lois and Clark walked into Perry's office.
"What is it,
Chief?" Lois asked.
"Tempus is out," Perry said.
"What? When?"
Lois asked.
"Since yesterday," Perry replied.
"Okay, thanks,
Chief," Clark said.
Lois and Clark walked back into the
newsroom.
Clark was diving into a deep thought.
"Clark, it's going to
happen again, isn't it?" Lois asked.
"What?" Clark asked.
"You
know what I'm talking about: Tempus," Lois replied.
"Yes, I know. I'll
scan the city," Clark said.
"Okay. I'll go to the asylum. Be careful,"
Lois said.
"You too."
They kissed and left.
***
At
Lori's school.
4:30 P.M.
A time window appeared in front of of Lori's
school.
Kids of Lori's class and the entire school looked at the
window.
A man walked out of the time window.
Lori recognized the man
immediately as she looked at him.
"Tempus!" Lori said in
silence.
Lori walked towards him, like she wasn't scared of him at
all.
"So, Tempus, what are you doing here?" Lori asked.
"Well,
duh, I'm here to destroy your family by taking you," Tempus
replied.
Tempus grabbed Lori by her arm and stepped back into the time
window.
"NO! LET ME GO!" Lori yelled.
At that same moment Lois was
driving towards Lori's school to pick her
up.
As she saw the time window,
she began to drive faster.
Superman was in the air looking for
Tempus.
Then, he saw the window and flew down.
Lois got out of her
car.
"No, please," she said to herself, and began to run towards
the
window. "NO!"
The window started to dissapear.
Superman got to
the ground, but he was too late.
Lori was gone.
"NOOooo!" Lois
yelled and burst into tears.
