What's New?

Did you know that new fanfic gets updated to the Fanfic Archive every week? There's some super stuff there! Go check out the almost 1,000 stories written by FOLCs and written about our favorite characters, Lois and Clark!

http://lcfanfic.actwd.com/

Do you write fanfic? Remember, if you have a short fanfic you'd like to share with other FOLCs, send it to Rachel, aka LCWSnutbag@aol.com! Don't be afraid to send it in. We'll accept almost anything, as long as it's appropriate for all ages.

Don't be afraid to show your work. If you write something, you should send it to the Fanfic Archive :) If you don't think your fanfics are very good, don't worry. Everyone has to start somewhere, and the more fanfics you write, the more confidence you'll gain, and the better writer you'll become! Plus, writing is just a lot of fun. :)

Has being a FoLC changed you in any way? If so, how?:
Yes, being a FoLC has changed me in many ways. I've come to know many wonderful people, some of whom I've met in person. I now know that I am not the only one with Superman stuff all over her room, and that it's okay to be overly obsessed with something. (Although 'overly obsessed' isn't my exact choice of wording...). I've gone through LCWS and figured out what it stands for and screamed during commercials wishing that you could fast-forward through them. Read some of the most amazing fanfic ever!! (I now hate reading books...I've been too spoiled with reading online.) And the best thing is that we all have something in common. We all love the best show in the world!!! :)
Is there anything special about you that you would like to share:
Umm...lemme see...I'm on the track team at school. I do shot putt and discus. (For those of you who may not know: a shot putt is an 8 pound steel ball that you throw and a discus is like a 2 pound frisbee that you throw.) When I'm not at track practice, I'm usually online. I also enjoy singing, swing dancing, going to movies with friends, listening to music and other teenager like stuff. :)

Dean News!
by Cathy

Hi FoDCs. Catch Future Sport on video TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to rent it out. (I saw it on television, but I am dying to see it again.) I hope that you guys rent it too.
As far as the quiz's go, NONE of you have them all right. The people that sent me the answers have about 1 wrong. (Good but not good enough.) You guys mess up on the second question. "What does Dean describe himself as?" I want a specific one. I know it's tough. But, you guys can do it! I know you can.
Don't forget to e-mail me questions about Dean to Ranjet13@aol.com (Labeled Dean Question) and answers to the Dean Quiz to the same adress. (Labeled "Dean Quiz Answers") THANX!!!!!
Have a Dean-ful Day

Tanya's Column!
by Tanya (Tanya_Walsh@hotmail.com)

Hi everybody !!!

Oh I'm so happy !! I got my physics test back. Now I
know what you're thinking. Happiness and results of
physics tests do NOT normally go together.. but when
you're CONVINCED you're going to fail and you actually
end up passing it's a happy event !

So YAY !! I'm in a good mood. But I'm in a good mood
for more than just that... I mean I was in a good (albeit
NERVOUS) mood even before I got the test back. No.
I'm in a good mood because.. well I just am !! =) No, it's
actually because I released some of my creative energy
last night.

Doesn't that sound weird ? I can hear you asking, "what
creative energy"..but last night I wrote about... 1/2 a
fanfic ! Yay !!! I want to write fanfics. I'm actually jealous
of everybody who has earned the prestigious title of "fanfic
writer".

Hmm.. my friend just came in and sat next to me. OK I
just minimised the fanfic window so that she wouldn't
see what I was actually doing. I'm swinging on my
chair with the keyboard in my lap. (I'm in the computer
rooms at school at the moment because it's my prep. I'm
so glad I'm happy for it !! There's nothing worse than
having a depressed prep lesson.)

So yeah. As I was SAYING, I must be the biggest
"wannabe fanfic writer" in the world. I write these little
crappy pathetic story that everybody hates !! But the one
I started writing.. oh it's so happy !! You have no idea !! I
mean it still sux but at least *I* like it !!

OK I'm going to go. When I start "releasing my creative
energy" I feel like writing heaps so I wrote this column as
well !! I mean.. I walked down the street this morning
composing it in my head. How sad is that ? I probably
would have thought about it in bed last night but I was too
busy thinking about my beautiful, wonderful and deprived
fic and my parents were making too much noise anyway.

**L** Oh that sounded so suss. No, really they were
talking about cataloguing electronic journals or some
other deprived topic.

A girl just walked past behind me and I had to unswing
on my chair. How deprived.

---Tanay !!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I can't even spell my own name !
That's what happens when you're looking in the other
direction while you're typing. Tanya

Random Thoughts
by Rachel (LCWSnutbag@aol.com)

I'm sure that just like everyone else, I'm having serious bouts of LCWS. The anticipation of waiting for 3 o'clock (our time) to come is, alas, gone. But maybe this is better. I just don't like getting up *that* early on Sundays.

In second period today, I ventured beyond the barriers that hold my usually angelic self and scratched the following into my desk:
RM + DC

I didn't get to finish it. Oh, well. The reason I do this during second period is because lately we've been talking about the happenings in the Middle East. Now don't get me wrong, they're very exciting to talk about, I just don't have any input. I'm not that wise when it comes to those sort of things. I save sociopolitical conversations for when we're having dinner with my dad's boss.

Oh, yeah, I also told my friend that if she could chug a whole can of pop, I'd give her a dollar to buy lunch. So I stood there, prepared to give her a dollar anyway, knowing that she couldn't chug a can of pop without choking or passing out. She started chugging, her face started turning purple, and I started to drag a trash can over to where were standing to give her the advantage. She finished the last drop while managing to stay upright, and I, like a fool, handed over my dollar.

You'd have to know my friend. She's capable of those things.

There's a guy at my school who looks like Dean, so when I walked past him today, I started humming "Heart and Soul." He didn't notice.

Men...

Oh, well, I guess nothing can compare with Dean. If I met him, I'd die a happy girl...even I got tagged by a 18-wheeler.

That's enough for today.
Later!

-Rachel :)

Trivia

Last Week's Question Was...

>>A teenage L&C guest-star won a Youth In Film Award for their portrayal of the character they played on Lois & Clark. Can you guess who this young star is? Give me the name of the star, or the character they played, to win. One guess per person. Good luck!<<

And the answer is...Courtney Peldon (aka Amy Valdez, in "Smart Kids")! Now perhaps there are others that I don't know about. What I do know is, that probably every young star that has guest-starred on L&C has been nominated for a Youth In Film Award in the past (not just for L&C, but for their other TV shows and movies as well). This year, Courtney got nominated again for her guest-starring roll on "Home Improvement" (she didn't win). Also this year...

*Jarrett Lennon ("Illusions of Grandeur") won for "Best Performance In a TV Comedy Series--Guest Starring Young Actor" for his appearance on "Boy Meets World."

*Bradley Pierce ("Witness") was one of several nominated for "Best Performance In a Feature Film--Young Ensemble") for the movie "The Borrowers."

*Kyla Pratt ("Through a Glass, Darkly") was nominated for "Best Performance In a Feature Film--Supporting Young Actress" for the movie "Dr. Doolittle."

Congratulations to Courtney, Jarrett, Bradley, and Kyla!! (I just MUST also mention that Ryan Merriman won (count em) TWO awards this year! He was never on L&C but I have to mention him anyway, because I love him. Oh yes, and he connects to L&C how? Well, he won an award for the TNT movie "Everything That Rises", and that movie also starred Harve Presnell (Sam Lane) who is also on "The Pretender", with Ryan, and Ryan won his other award for that show...so you see, it all connects.)

Oh...you probably want to know who won, huh? Well the first person to send in the correct answer was Rennjenny@aol.com! You get 50 superdollars! Yayyy:) MandyC also got it right!

OK this week's question pertains a LITTLE more to the show itself...

In what episode does Perry fake a heart attack?

Send your answers to lovelc@aol.com and you could win 50 superdollars:)

************************************************************
OK, FoLCs...
